The Day 4 of the World Test Championship Final between India and Australia saw a controversial catch by Australian all-rounder Cameron Green to dismiss Shubman Gill, reacting to which the Indian batter shared a post on social media expressing his disappointment.

The 23-year-old was batting at a score of 18 in 19 balls with two boundaries and was facing Scott Boland, who managed to get an outside edge which flew towards the slip.  Here Cameron Green put in a full-stretch dive and seemingly held on to a one-handed blinder. But as the decision went to the third umpire where it seemed that Green failed to complete the catch and dragged the ball on the ground.

After a slight delay, the third umpire gave  Shubman Gill out, leaving the Indian batter disappointed as he walked back. After the day's play, Gill shared a social media post which included the image of the catch, while the caption had two magnifying glass emojis and one face palm emoji. He also shared an Instagram story with clapping emojis.

After this wicket, India battled well as they ended Day 4 at 164-3 with Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane looking in good touch. Talking about the catch, Aussie wicketkeeper, Alex Carey stated that the decision was fair as him.

He said,  "I think we have the runs on the board, and always look for more wickets, but they played well (on Rahane and Kohli). We'll have another chance tomorrow. Looked good to me (on the Green catch), we were happy and the right decision was made."
