Air pistol shooter Singhraj Adana has clinched India’s third Paris Olympics 2024 quota after he finished fourth in P1 Men’s 10m Air Pistol SH1 at the ongoing 2022 Para Shooting World Championships. Adhana follows Rudrankksh Patil, Bhowneesh Mendiratta, who claimed the first and second spot in the men’s trap & air rifle respectively. However, this is India’s first qualification in the Air Pistol category.
Among the other Indian’s, Tokyo Paralympic champion Manish Narwal finished sixth while Nihal Singh finished fifth in the Men’s 10m Air Pistol in Al Ain, UAE.
The team of Singhraj, Nihal and Narwal claimed the second gold in the ongoing Championships in the team event of P1 Men’s 10m Air Pistol SH1. The team aggregated a total score of 1704-34x, riding on Narwal’s 575-17x score.
Earlier in the year, Paralympics champion Avani Lekhara and Sriharsha Devaraddi Ramakrishna had sealed quotas for India during the Chateauroux Para Shooting World Cup.
