On Tuesday, April 1, the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) hosted Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow in IPL 2025. While the Rishabh Pant-led side were coming on the back of a win against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), PBKS defeated Gujarat Titans (GT) with ease at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. In the 13th match of IPL 2025, the Shreyas Iyer-led side continued their dominating run in the tournament, handing LSG an eight-wicket defeat.

After inviting the hosts to bat first, on the back of Arshdeep Singh’s three-wicket haul, PBKS restricted LSG at 171/7 in 20 overs. However, during the 172-run chase, Punjab Kings walked out with a different mindset. On the back of Prabhsimran Singh’s 34-ball 69-run knock, along with crucial contributions from skipper Iyer and Nehal Wadhera, they got their second win.
