Coming to Trent Boult’s team MI Emirates and their performance in the inaugural edition of the International League T20, the Kieron Pollard-led team has qualified for the playoffs by finishing in the third position on the points table. The Emirates won five out of ten games played and pipped Dubai Capitals by a fair margin to finish third.
Now, the Emirates will play the Eliminator against the Capitals on Thursday (9 Feb). The epic clash is set to take place at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. It's worth mentioning that the Kieron Pollard-led team lost both their league games against the Capitals.
Meanwhile, talking about Boult, the left-arm pacer has not created the impact he was supposed to. Boult has featured in eight games for the Emirates wherein he has bowled 30 overs and has conceded 210 runs. The leftie has managed only six wickets in these eight games. For the Emirates, Dwayne Bravo has taken the most number of wickets (11) while Imran Tahir is in third place with 9 wickets in seven matches.
