Argentina star Lionel Messi scored a late equalizer to help Inter Miami continue their unbeaten run in the Major League Soccer (MLS) 2024 with a 1-1 draw against LA Galaxy at the Dignity Health Sports Park on Sunday night. During the clash, an Inter Miami fan went viral as he raised a placard claiming to sell his car just to watch the star quartet of Leo Messi, Luis Suarez, Sergio Busquets, and Jordi Alba.
LA Galaxy forward Dejan Joveljić broke the deadlock in the 75th minute as he fired the home side into the lead. After beginning their new MLS campaign on a winning note, Inter Miami's star Messi scored a 90+2nd minute goal from a Jordi Alba assist to level the game and clinch a valuable point from the fixture.

During the LA Galaxy and Inter Miami clash, a Herons fan went viral for raising a placard that mentioned Messi, Suarez, Busquets, and Alba's name. The fan claimed to sell his car for the clash and also asked for the Inter Miami star quartet's jerseys in his placard. The placard read, "I sold my car to come watch Messi, Suarez, Busi, Alba. Please give me your jerseys."

Ahead of the clash between Inter Miami and LA Galaxy, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian's son Saint West had the rare privilege of walking out the record eight-time Ballon d'Or winner. Saint's mother Kim took to X and shared the video of her son walking out Messi. She wrote, "Saint walking Messi out on the field tonight at the La Galaxy vs Inter Miami game!!! He is living the absolute dream!"

With this 1-1 draw, Inter Miami continued their top spot in the MLS 2024 Eastern Conference standings with four points in two matches. However, the other teams in the MLS, except the Real Salt Lake, have played just one match so far this season.
