Manchester City winger Jack Grealish has finally admitted that he made a mistake by commenting and making fun of Newcastle's Miguel Almiron following City's Premier League title win earlier this year and revealed that he has already apologized to the latter.

The 27-year-old took a sly dig at Almiron at the end of the last season during City's title celebration. Grealish claimed that Riyad Mahrez needed to be removed from the previous season's game because he 'played like Almiron.' In a new development, the English winger has opened up on the matter for the first time since making those remarks.

"I have been asked about that and let me just address it. It was the day after the season finished, and obviously, I had a few drinks and stuff. Straight after that, because I didn't realize we were out celebrating, and I wasn't on my phone on social media. And then I remember I was in Ibiza and it had obviously come out. That was one thing I regret, When I said earlier that sometimes I do stupid stuff, that was one. I regret that. I swear, I am actually buzzing the way he has reacted," said Grealish.

However, the Englishman also revealed that he would have reacted differently if he had been mocked in the same way. "He said something about me in the interview the other day; he wished me the best. I thought, 'what a guy man' because if that was me and somebody had said that about me, I had probably have been the other way. He seems like the most harmless, nice guy, so fair play, I am buzzing for him," added Grealish.

Earlier, Almiron branded Grealish as a 'great player and disclosed that he is not worried of what the latter said about him. "Jack's a great player first and foremost, and I wish him all the best as I always do," Almiron told Sky Sports.

Speaking of Grealish, the City winger is currently in Qatar for the FIFA World Cup 2022 and has till now come off the bench in all three matches for England and found the back of the net in the 90th minute in England's 6-2 victory against Iran, on November 21.
