Son of former India captain and T20 World Cup 2024 winning head coach Rahul Dravid, Samit, received his maiden Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 contract. The youngster was picked up by last season's runner-up Mysuru Warriors at the auction in Bengaluru on Thursday.
Samit Dravid is an all-rounder and was bought for INR 50,000. The 18-year-old bowls medium pace and bats in the middle-order. The last season’s runners-up will be led by Karun Nair who picked up India pacer Prasidh Krishna for INR 1 lakh as one of their biggest buys in the auction.

The 18-year-old was also part of the Karnataka Under-19 team that won the 2023-24 Cooch Behar Trophy and also represented KSCA XI in a three-day game against the visiting Lancashire side in Alur. On the signing of Samit Dravid, a Mysuru Warriors team official expressed excitement about their decision. As per PTI, the official said, "It’s good to have him in our side as he has shown a lot of promise in various age-group tournaments for KSCA."
