Erling Haaland, the Manchester City striker, apologised to the Brazilian legend Ronaldo for not picking him in his team for EA FC 24, one of the most popular football games in the world. The 23-year-old took to his official Instagram account to post a story, saying “Sorry Ronaldo” before revealing that he replaced him with his cousin Jonatan Braut Brunes.

In his EA FC 24 ultimate team, Erling Haaland has paired up his cousin Jonatan Braut Brunes, who plays for Belgian Pro League club OH Leuven, in the role of a striker alongside himself. The likes of Kylian Mbappe, the French footballing star from PSG, and the Brazilian footballing legend Ronaldinho are slotted by him on either side of the wing.
Some other prominent roles in his EA FC 24 ultimate team saw Erling Haaland pick Yaya Toure, the former Manchester City player in the defensive midfielder role, while he put his current teammate Kyle Walker in the right back position. After revealing his playing XI in the game in his recent Instagram story, he wrote, “Sorry @ronaldo have to drop you for my cousin @jonatanbrunes”.
Manchester City lose their last four Premier League games
Erling Haaland, who has 94 rating points in the EA FC 24 game, hasn’t been in the best of forms in recent weeks on the football pitch. It has led to Manchester City drawing three of their last four games in the Premier League before losing to Aston Villa by 1-0 at the Villa Park during the last weekend.
