Former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen took a dig at the Multan Cricket Stadium pitch while slamming Pakistan team for destroying Test cricket. The former cricketer slammed PCB for producing a batting-friendly surface while labelling the stadium as a ‘bowlers graveyard’. Pietersen called out the PCB during the opening Test between Pakistan and England played in Multan.
Pietersen took to X and called out the pitch conditions stating that it destroyed Test cricket. Pietersen tweeted, “Still a bowlers graveyard! If this wicket doesn’t crumble and produce a result, it’s helping DESTROY Test cricket.” Not only this, but along with him, several fans also took to social media and voiced their frustration for being overly batting-friendly.

The game saw Pakistan losing an early wicket after winning the toss and opting to bat first. While Saim Ayub had to depart early, captain Shan Masood and Abdullah Shafique came up with a 254-run stand. The pitch seemed to have given no assistance to the bowlers. Masood came up with a century off 102 deliveries with a combination of 10 boundaries and two maximums.
