On Friday, March 22, Marnus Labuschagne, revealed that he will be supporting Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL 2024, a team which will be led by his fellow countryman and the Australian captain Pat Cummins. The comment from Marnus Labuschagne came in response to a fan asking him about which team he will be supporting in the upcoming IPL.

Before the start of the new Indian Premier League (IPL) season in 2024, many fans and cricketers have been picking their favourite teams to support right throughout the tournament. Marnus Labuschagne, one of the top batters from Australia, who is also a very vocal personality both on and off the field, wasn’t far behind to join in on the fun.

The 29-year-old took to his official X account to state that he is pumped for the IPL 2024 to begin with the Chennai Super Kings versus Mumbai Indians opener at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. It led to a fan asking Marnus Labuschagne about his support for a team in the upcoming IPL, to which he responded Sunrisers Hyderabad, ditching Royal Challengers Bangalore, whom he picked to support in the tournament last year.

Moreover, Marnus Labuschange was involved in the 2-0 Test series win for Australia against New Zealand earlier this month. He scored an important 90 in the first inning of the second Test match at the Hagley Oval in Christchurch, to play a key role in yet another victory in the longest format of the game for the Australians in the neighbouring country.
