The domestic league of Tamil Nadu, the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) is set to kick off with its eighth edition from July 5 to August 4, 2024. Defending champions Lyca Kovai Kings will open the tournament against Chepauk Super Gillies in Salem.
The tournament features eight teams from various districts and the teams will play the league stage in the round-robin format. Teams will travel to five cities for the games as the competition follows the same caravan format. Games will be played in Salem, Coimbatore, Tirunelveli, and Dindigul.
Unlike the previous editions, the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association, the organisers have decided to go with the reserve day for all four playoff games. The decision came to counter the rain threat which impacted the summit clash two seasons ago.
