The 17th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has seen several key overseas players withdraw from the tournament, especially with the T20 World Cup in June. Australian leg-spinner Adam Zampa is among those overseas players, who pulled out of the IPL 2024, and the inaugural IPL champions, Rajasthan Royals, have named Mumbai all-rounder Tanush Kotian as his replacement.
Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan Royals retained Adam Zampa ahead of December's auction in Dubai on a contract worth ₹1.5 crore after a decent 2023 season. In the last season, Zampa played six times for the Royals and scalped eight wickets at an average of 23.50 with an 8.54 economy rate.
Tanush Kotian, who recently made solid all-around contributions as Mumbai won the 42nd Ranji Trophy title, joins RR for his base price of ₹ 20 lakh. He has represented Mumbai in 23 T20s, 26 First-Class games, and 19 List A matches.
