The Men in Blue went on to smash the second highest T20I total of all time, and the highest T20I score by a Test playing nation. India posted a mammoth 297/6 on board in their 20 overs, with just three runs short of achieving the milestone of 300 runs in the 20-over format.

South Africa not only posted one of the highest scores, but also achieved the highest successful run chase in the T20I format in a match against West Indies at Centurion on March 26, 2023. Batting first, West Indies posted a mammoth total of 258/5, with Johnson Charles top scoring with 118(46) runs. While chasing a huge target, the Proteas also had a fiery start with Quinton de Kock coming up with 100(44) runs while Reeza Hendricks smashing 68 off 28 balls. South Africa chased the mammoth total in just 18.5 overs at the loss of four wickets.
