Following the maiden IPL fifty in his career, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, 18, has been getting all the appreciation from the cricket community for his talent and skill. Shreyas Iyer, the captain of Kolkata Knights Riders, had nice words to say about Angkrish Raghuvanshi, and in response, the right-handed batter was quick to remind his teammate about his FIFA gameplay skills as well, telling him to spread the word.

In his first innings at the IPL level, Angkrish Raghuvanshi was unfazed about the challenge in front of him, taking on the Delhi Capitals bowlers head-on. During the 104-run partnership with Sunil Narine, the teenager matched the West Indies cricketer stroke for stroke, notching up his fifty in just 25 balls.

After scoring 54 off 27, an inning that included five fours and three maximums, Angkrish Raghuvanshi fell to Anrich Nortje’s short delivery, finding Ishant Sharma at the short third-man region. Despite the fall of his wicket, Kolkata Knight Riders kept their foot on the gas pedal, putting together a 272/7 total on the board, the second-highest team score in the history of the IPL.

Kolkata Knight Riders managed to defend the total with relative ease, bowling out Delhi Capitals for 166 within 18 overs. Following their 106-run victory, Shreyas Iyer spoke about the qualities of Angkrish Raghuvanshi, alluding to his work ethic and his smartness as a batter in particular.
