The arch-rivals and joint-most winners of the Indian Premier League locked horns in a high-octane game at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. After receiving the invitation to bat first, the Yellow Army started off on a decent note which was later powered by skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad ’s 69-off-40 deliveries.
CSK’s ex-captain joined Shivam Dube on the crease after Daryl Mitchell and played a fiery knock of 20 runs off four deliveries. Dhoni hit three back-to-back sixes off MI skipper Hardik Pandya’s deliveries and guided the side’s score beyond the 200-run mark alongside Shivam Dube.
