Royal Challengers Bangalore registered a brilliant victory over the Punjab Kings thanks to a stunning bowling display on a tricky Mohali wicket. Mohammed Siraj was the star performer as he picked up four wickets and helped RCB bundle Punjab out at the score of 150.
To kick off the proceedings, it was a brilliant 137-run opening stand by Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis, who each scored half-centuries. Kohli ended up with a score of 59 in 47 balls with five fours and one six. While Du Plessis top-scored with 84 in 56 balls, helping Bangalore post a competitive total of 174.
Backing up this top-batting effort, the bowlers made a massive improvement from the last game and gave the franchise their third win of the tournament. Celebrating the win, RCB fans flooded social media with some hilarious and praiseful tweets and comments. These messages were directed to the likes of Virat Kohli, Mohammed Siraj and Faf du Plessis.
