WWE superstar and son of Rey Mysterio Dominik ‘Dirty’ Mysterio is set to defend his North American Title against Mustafa Ali and Wes Lee at NXT’s The Great American Bash. Mysterio has been one of WWE’s most promising superstars and enters this fight after defending his title against Canadian wrestler Sami Zayn in the recent episode of Monday Night RAW.

Dominik Mysterio was set to defend his North American Title only against Ali. Hence the announcement for this triple-threat fight was in the aftermath of a mini-brawl stirred by Ripley, who suggested that the Judgement Day rule the WWE. Soon Wes Lee and Mustafa Ali came into the ring, staking claim for the rematch. Here Rhea Ripley suggested a three-way battle and hence Dominik Mysterio asked for a change in the bout, making it a triple-threat match.



Talking about Dominik’s recent title defence, Mysterio and Zayn were in an entertaining battle with the Canadian showcasing his grappling prowess. Similarly, Mysterio also showcased his acrobatic abilities by countering Zayn’s Blue Thunder Bomb into a near pinfall. But in the end, Judgement Day’s interference while  Sami Zayn attempted his finisher helped Dominik Mysterio pull off a roll-up pin to seal the fight and defend his title. 


The main card for The Great American Bash 2023


The 2023 NXT: The Great American Bash will be the 11th edition of the Pay-Per-View in WWE history. The event will take place on July 30, 2023, at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park in Austin, Texas. Along with the North American Championship battle, Carmelo Hayes and Ilja Dragunov will lock horns for the NXT Championship.

While Gallus will take on The D'Angelo Family for the NXT Tag Team Championships. In the women’s division, Tiffany Stratton and Thea Hail will lock horns in a Submission Match for the NXT Women's Championship.
