On this special occasion, Yuvraj Singh, who was awarded Player of the Tournament, went down the memory and shared an emotional post on his social media celebrating 14 years of India’s World Cup triumph. On his post, Yuvraj shared some of the pictures from that historic night and also tagged Sachin Tendulkar who was playing his last tournament.
Revisiting the memories of 2011 World Cup win, Yuvraj Singh shared a post on his X, which read, “April 2, 2011 — the night we did it for a billion people… and for one man who carried Indian cricket on his shoulders for over two decades. That World Cup wasn’t just a win. It was a thank you to a legend. We grew up watching @sachin_rt. That night, we played to give him the moment he deserved. 14 years later, the memory of India’s win still gives me goosebumps. A night we’ll never forget.”

Along with Yuvraj Singh, another member of the 2011 World Cup winning team, Suresh Raina also shared a post on his social media, revisiting the sweet memories of that historic win. He also mentioned MS Dhoni, Sachin Tendulkar, Gautam Gambhir, Yuvraj Singh and Harbhajan Singh and Zaheer Khan for their contributions in the tournament.
