Following the main event of WWE Bad Blood, The Rock made a surprise return to the promotion, strutting with his People’s Championship belt, staring down Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns to close out the highly successful PLE at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta. In the immediate aftermath, the WWE fans wondered about what it means for the Bloodline storyline down the road, until a rumour circulated regarding The Rock not slated to work at WrestleMania 41 next year at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
As per the report from Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer, it was stated that The Rock wasn’t scheduled to be a part of the Showcase of the Immortals in 2025. The comment from the esteemed journalist came despite the fact that The Rock is heavily featured in the promotion of WWE Raw’s arrival to Netflix at the beginning of 2025, quite close to the Road to WrestleMania, which will be kicking off with the Royal Rumble a month later.

But, when a fan asked The Rock about his status for WrestleMania next year, writing, “Are you really not working Mania 41??? Say it ain't so!,” in the comments section on his Instagram post. In response, he wrote, “Don't believe any of that bulls***” alongside the wink and fist-bump emojis, signifying that he is all but certain to be a part of the biggest WWE show of the year at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
Notably, The Rock was the prized attraction at the WrestleMania 40 earlier this year at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, pinning Cody Rhodes, who was teamed up with Seth Rollins, in a tag team match alongside his partner Roman Reigns in the main event of night one of the show. On the night two, he wanted to ensure that Cody Rhodes didn’t walk out as the Undisputed WWE Champion at the expense of Roman Reigns, but his attempt at it went in vain.
Following that, The Rock told Cody Rhodes to not break his heart ever again on WWE Raw the next night, and with that, the rumour mill is filled with a potential championship match between these two superstars, which has not materialised as of yet.
