Indian skipper Rohit Sharma opened up on his retirement plans and said that he has his eyes set on future ICC glories. The ICC T20 World Cup 2024 winning captain confirmed that he has no plans of calling time on his international career. Notably, Sharma, along with Virat Kohli and star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja announced their retirements from T20Is after Men in Blue lifted the second T20 World Cup.
Recently, a clip of Sharma from the CEAT Awards ceremony held last month was shared by Star Sports, where the Indian skipper confirmed that he has no plans of calling it quits on his career. He said that when you win cups and games, you don’t want to stop. The 37-year-old cricketer said, "There is a reason I have won five IPL trophies as well. I am not going to stop because when you get the taste of winning games, winning cups, you don't want to stop. We'll keep pushing as a team. We'll keep striving in the future.”
The Indian opener also said, “For us, it never stops. Once you achieve something, you look forward to achieving more, and that is what I would be doing as well. I am pretty sure my teammates will also be thinking along the same lines.”
