Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni gave a quirky response when he was asked about his retirement at a CSK event ahead of their clash against the Royal Challengers Bangalore. At the age of 41, Dhoni is certainly in the twilight of his IPL career, especially after announcing his retirement from international cricket in 2020.
Hence, there has been a lot of speculation that this would be Dhoni’s final IPL season with multiple reports surfacing on a regular basis. Similarly, in a recent team event, Dhoni was asked a question about his retirement plans, he stated that his current focus is on the coming games.
Further in his retort, Dhoni jokingly expressed that his decision will put a lot of pressure on CSK coach Stephen Fleming. He said, "There's lot of time to take that call (Retirement). Right now we have a lot of games and the coach will be under pressure if I say something."
