Pakistan's wicketkeeper Kamran Akmal, who had an impressive PSL 2021 campaign, has now had his say on the upcoming 2021 T20 World Cup. The 39-year-old has revealed which team he feels would have an added advantage going into the tournament while also talking about a side which could prove to be very dangerous for other teams.

Conditions will play a huge role in UAE: Akmal

With the 2021 T20 World Cup set to be played in UAE, Kamran Akmal opined that Pakistan will have a huge advantage going into the tournament. "We’ve played international cricket for 9 to 10 years in the UAE. That makes Pakistan the most experienced side under the conditions,” said Akmal on the YouTube channel ‘My Master Cricket Coach’.

The 39-year-old also added that a lot of players (from all countries) will have some benefit having played in tournaments like PSL and IPL in UAE.

Akmal reveals the side which could be very dangerous

The wicketkeeper admitted that it is very difficult to pick favourites for the mega event scheduled to begin in October. However, he believed that Afghanistan could be the team to watch out for in the tournament. "Given the conditions in the UAE, Afghanistan can also prove to be a dangerous side, looking at the players that they have,” said Akmal.

With two of the best spinners in the form of Rashid Khan and Mujeeb ur Rahman in their side, there is no doubt that the conditions in UAE will be favourable to Afghanistan who could turn out to be the underdogs in World Cup this year.
