On Saturday, August 31, former Pakistan Test captain Babar Azam once again became a subject to netizens’ trolls after the cricketer failed to perform in the second Test against Bangladesh. After poor performance in first Test against Bangladesh, Azam once again failed to deliver with the bat and could manage to come up with a knock of 31 runs. Notably, Azam has failed to score any fifty in his last 15 innings.
The last time the Pakistan batter delivered a notable performance in Tests was in December 2022. The 29-year-old amassed 161 runs against New Zealand in a Test in Karachi. In his last 15 innings, Azam scored only 320 runs. Before this Test, Pakistan’s white-ball captain got out on scores of 0 and 22 against Bangladesh. Owing to the poor performance by the hosts, they were handed their first-ever defeat against Bangladesh in Tests.
