The first IPL hundred for Sanju Samson came in the 2017 edition of the tournament for Delhi Daredevils against Rising Pune Supergiant at the Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) Stadium in Pune. He scored 102 off 62, an innings filled with eight fours and five maximums, which helped DD go past 200, and they won the contest by a massive margin of 97 runs, with Amit Mishra and Zaheer Khan picking up three wickets each of the RPS batting lineup.
