Tottenham Hotspur striker Dominic Solanke, who had made his international debut against Brazil as a substitute in 2017, has made his return to the England national football team after a seven-year wait. The English head coach, Lee Carsley, named the squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League matches against Greece and Final later this month, which will also see the return of Kyle Walker, who wasn’t picked in the team earlier this season.
Apart from Dominic Solanke and Kyle Walker, the next couple of matches for England in the UEFA Nations League will also feature Jude Bellingham, who had been sidelined from the previous matches in the tournament due to an injury. Some of the big players who missed out on making the England squad include names like Morgan Rogers, Eberechi Eze, James Maddison, and Harry Maguire, among others.

After picking the England national football team for the upcoming round of UEFA Nations League matches, Lee Caraley addressed the selection of Dominic Solanke. He was quoted as saying, as per BBC News, “Dom's a player I'm fully aware of, having worked with him in the past. He was really close to being in the last squad but got injured just before selection. He did so well at Bournemouth and now he's taken that form into Spurs. He's got a lot of really good attributes that I really like, as well as being a really nice person. He's extremely talented and it's good that we've got him.”
Moreover, with Lee Carsley in charge, England made a strong start in the UEFA Nations League with wins over Republic of Ireland and Finland in the first couple of matchdays.
