Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav lauded USA’s left-arm seamer Saurabh Netravalkar after his side registered a remarkable five-run win in the Super Over during their T20 World Cup 2024 clash. The co-hosts for the ongoing season of the marquee ICC event took on Pakistan, the 2009 T20 champions, on Friday, June 6. The game saw USA putting in remarkable effort, leading it to a Super Over and registering a five-run win.
During the Super Over, USA seamer Netravalkar held his nerves and easily defended 19 runs over the former champions to help the side causing one of the biggest upsets and register second consecutive win. Yadav, who happens to be Netravalkar’s ex-teammate congratulated him by posting a story on Instagram. Yadav posted a picture of Saurabh featuring Harmeet Singh and wrote, “Tula maanla bhau” (Hats off to you brother).

Notably, the 2007 T20 World Cup winners, India, will clash against Pakistan in one of the most awaited clashes of the tournament on Sunday, June 9. The match is slated to be played at the Nassau County International Stadium in New York. They played their season opener against Ireland and registered an easy win over their Irish rivals.
