Sean O'Malley, the UFC bantamweight champion, has sparked controversy and outrage with his comments on cheating on his wife. O'Malley, who is married to Danya Gonzalez and has a daughter with her, said that he can cheat on her because he "pays for everything" and she "doesn't do anything".

O'Malley made these remarks on his podcast, The Timbo Sugar Show, where he was asked by his co-host Tim Welch about his views on monogamy. O'Malley said that he does not believe in monogamy and referred to Andrew Tate’s explanations on the topic.

“I treat Danya like a queen. If I get a little p–s on the side, what does that have to do with anything? I have testosterone running through my veins; it’s simple,” He said.

He further said that if he were not as successful, he would probably not do it. However, in his case, he would not keep to just one partner. “If I wasn’t paying for everything, if I wasn’t, you know, successful in any sort of way, and I was just like maybe an average Joe, I probably wouldn’t. It probably wouldn’t be fair. But I’m f–king King Kong baby,” O’Malley said.

O’Malley further referenced Andrew Tate for his thought process regarding polygamy, saying, “Andrew Tate explains it well. It’s status. You know I got status, so I can.” He also said that his wife is not in line with his thoughts on this and is “never fine with it” and that she goes “through phases”.

O'Malley's comments have been met with criticism and backlash from fans, media, and fellow fighters. Many have called him disrespectful, arrogant, selfish, and sexist. O'Malley is currently the UFC bantamweight champion, having won the title by stopping Aljamain Sterling in the second round in the main event at UFC 292 at the TD Garden. He is 17-1-0 in 18 fights, with 12 knockouts and one submission.
