Star Indian cricketer Virat Kohli is known for his unreal consistency across the formats and his hunger for runs has garnered praise from the cricketing fraternity. On Thursday, South Africa batter Rilee Rossouw heaped praise on Kohli’s unbelievable consistency in T20 cricket and distinguished him from any other player in this format.
Kohli is currently leading the chart of the highest run-scorer in this edition of the IPL with 661 runs in the 13 matches with five half-centuries and a scintillating century against Rajasthan Royals. Kohli also has visibly taken care of his strike rate this season with the former RCB captain maintaining a lavish strike rate of 156.
Rossouw showers praise on Virat Kohli's consistency in T20s
Rilee Rossouw, who has scored 162 runs this season playing for PBKS, showered praise on Virat in his interview with the Sportsstar. On a question asking the possibility of scoring runs in every match, Rossouw said, “I think the case that you’re expected to score runs in every match, I mean that’s not gonna happen unless you’re Virat Kohli.”
In this season of the IPL, Virat Kohli has shut all the noise around his approach in the shortest format with the 35-year-old looking to play as against his regular approach. Kohli has consistently scored at a strike rate of more than 150 and also worked on his ability to hit sixes. In the current list of most sixes by a player this season, only SRH opener Abhishek Sharma has bettered Kohli’s number with the veteran hitting 33 sixes as against Abhishek’s 35.
