The Ashes is one of the fiercest rivalries of cricket, and the 2023 season of the tournament justifies the tag appropriately. In the latest season of the rivalry between England and Australia, there were many controversial moments that made it to headlines. One recent example of it is a video that has been doing rounds on social media from the fifth Ashes Test.
In the video, two Australia greats, Marnus Labuschagne and Usman Khawaja, could be seen confronting an abusive fan, who was shouting “Boring” at Australia players. Labuschagne seemed to snap at the fan, and said, “What did you say? What did you say mate?” Meanwhile, the Australia opener could be heard requesting the fan to “calm down”.

Labuschagne added, "You’re just about to go at everyone else.” This isn’t the first time that the Australian fans confronted English fans. Earlier this month, the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) suspended three members after Australian players like David Warner and Usman Khawaja on day five of the second Ashes Test.
Speaking of the tournament, on day 4 of the fifth Ashes Test, the Aussies managed to pull 135 runs without any loss, falling short of 249 runs to win the game. The Baggy Greens are 2-1 ahead of England, and if they manage to add 249 runs to the board, they will clinch the series 3-1.
