Formula 1 drivers are often seen unveiling some of the most unconventional and incredible brand-themed helmets for a given week. Lando Norris launched his “beach-ball” inspired helmet earlier this year at Miami Grand Prix , and Valtteri Bottas came with a “Pac-Man” themed helmet. However, it seems Bottas has outdone himself with his ‘Gary and Friends’ themed helmet for the Canadian Grand Prix 2023.
The Alfa Romeo driver launched a uniquely designed helmet designed by his girlfriend Tiffany Cromwell. The F1 star took it to social media to share the pictures of the helmet. Bottas, who is driving for Alfa Romeo this season, has always enjoyed racing in Canada. He said that he wanted to design a helmet that would show his appreciation for the country and its fans.
If the early signs are to be considered, the new helmet could bring some luck to the track for Bottas. The Finnish racer topped the F1 timesheets and then finished seventh in the extended FP2 timesheets. Bottas, along with his teammate Zhou Guanyu performed well in Montreal last season, with both drivers finishing in the points. While driving for Williams in 2015 and 2016, Bottas notched back-to-back podiums. Apart from that, during his tenure with Mercedes, Bottas had a pair of second podium finishes in Montreal.
