Recently Krafton India Esports announced the highly anticipated BGMI Esports roadmap for the first half of 2025, and now Associate Director of Esports at Krafton India, Karan Pathak, confirms that the snowy island of the game, Vikendi, will not be there in the upcoming tournaments like BGIS 2025, BMPS 2025, and others. However, the reason behind the removal of the map has not been revealed yet.

Vikendi removed from BGIS 2025 and BMPS 2025

On 31 December 2024, Karan Pathak, Associate Director of Esports at KRAFTON India, revealed the removal of Vikendi from upcoming BGMI tournaments via an Ask Me Anything session on Instagram. Answering the question, “Will we see Vikendi in BGIS matches?” Karan replied, “Vikendi will not be used for upcoming tournaments.”

Vikendi is one of the important maps in the recent BGMI tournaments. Like Sanhok, this map offers teams some safety points through healing battles. From the perspective of the audience, the Vikendi also offers some thrilling fights in snowy environments. No one can forget the clutches of Team XSpark’s Joker and Simp of Godlike Esports in BMPS 2024. So fans are definitely going to miss Vikendi in the upcoming BGIS 2025, BMPS 2025, and other upcoming tournaments.

About Vikendi

Vikendi is slowly island-inspired by Balkan settings. The map is 6x6 in size and features popular locations like Castle, Cement Factory, Villa, Cantra, and Dobro Mesto.
