Vinicius Jr wins Men’s Player, Bonmati Women’s player at FIFA Best Awards 2024

Brazil and Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr. claimed the title of the Best Men’s Player at the FIFA Best Awards 2024. The award ceremony that took place in Doha saw Spain and Barcelona star Aitana Bonmati going home with the Women’s Player of the Year for the second consecutive time. Vinicius Jr. played a critical role in Real Madrid’s success in the last season, with a total of 24 goals in 39 games. With his contribution, the Spanish club claimed their La Liga and Champions League victories.

The 24-year-old outperformed Rodri of Manchester and his Real Madrid teammate Jude Bellingham for the award. He attended the ceremony in Doha, as Real Madrid are in Qatar for the FIFA Intercontinental Cup final against Pachuca. On the other hand, Aitana Bonmati successfully defended her FIFA Women’s Player of the Year title. She surpassed Zambia’s Barbra Banda and Norway’s Graham Hansen. Earlier, she won her second Women’s Ballon d’Or in October.
