Virat Kohli has a massive fan following and there is no second opinion about that. The Delhi-born cricketer has made a name for himself in world cricket with his amazing ability to score consistently. Into the 11 years of his cricketing career, Kohli already has 70 international centuries. But in the past two years, the century column has dried up.
Kohli fans have been desperately waiting for their idol to score his 71st century at the earliest. Although Kohli is making contributions consistently, a century is what is awaited from not only the fans but everyone in the fraternity. People are coming up with lucrative offers for Kohli if he scores his 71st. A similar incident happened during the Mohali Test which is Kohli's 100th.
Although it was more of a sacrificial promise than an offer, it was enough to draw attention. On Day 2 of the Test match between India and Sri Lanka, a Kohli fan was spotted with a banner that said, "I will not get married until Virat scores his 71st". This caught so many eyeballs and in no time the picture started doing rounds on the internet.

71st 100 in 100th Test?
Virat Kohli may not be worried about his century drought, but his fans are. They have got accustomed to see their star score centuries for fun. The Mohali Test is a special one for Kohli as he is playing his 100th Test, which is a big achievement in itself. But Kohli fans would be hoping for him to get a century and make it even more memorable.
But the chances for the same look pretty dull with the current match situation. India have already piled up a lot of runs (574/8 d) in the first innings and hold Sri Lanka by their neck with the visitors struggling to stay in the middle. Sri Lanka have already lost four wickets and they are still 434 runs shy of India's first-innings total. And with the pitch starting to spit venom, a follow-on will always be on cards.
