Star Indian batter Virat Kohli took social media by storm with a picture in hoodie during Day 1 of the first Test between India and New Zealand at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Due to no play on day one because of rain and wet outfield, players were forced to train at the indoor stadium. However, Virat Kohli and Yashasvi Jaiswal were escorted by the officials and Kohli’s look in hoodie with the cap on went viral on social media 

A fan shared Virat Kohli’s picture on social media in his hoodie look. The post was shared with a caption, "The (GOAT emoji) AT HIS DEN...!!!! - Virat Kohli at Chinnaswamy stadium today." Notably, M. Chinnaswamy Stadium is the home ground of Kohli’s Indian Premier League (IPL) team Royal Challengers Bengaluru. 

Day 1 of IND vs NZ gets washed due to rain

Notably, not a single ball was bowled on day of the first Test between India and New Zealand due to persistent rain and wet outfield in Bengaluru. There was prediction of rain on all five days in Bengaluru for the first Test.  As both India and New Zealand reached the stadium to kickstart the series, there was a delay in the toss due to persistent rain. 

The rain stopped at 12:35 PM and the covers were off. However, the rain returned to play the spoilsport again at 1 PM. Around 2:30 PM, the match officials decided to call off day one.
