Indian chess stalwart Viswanathan Anand posted a special picture on Twitter about his son Sai Akhil Anand’s first painting in an art exhibition. The painting was displayed at the Mumbai Taj Art Gallery. The painting was made with photo ink colours, acrylic colours, water colours and a permanent pen, as per its description.

Sai Akhil Anand’s painting was based on the theme of how human mathematics has led to the destruction of marine life across the globe. Viswanathan Anand was elated with this moment and also deemed the entire exhibition as an ‘enriching experience.’

The Indian Grandmaster tweeted, "Proud to be in Mumbai Taj Art Gallery to see my son Akhil exhibit for the first time. His theme Marine Math on how human math have destroyed Marine Life. Nature has such lovely Math patterns that we need to appreciate. Has been such an enriching experience Sai Akhil Anand."

The picture comprises a turtle, jellyfish and a snail that has a description written under it, which says, "It visually represents the patterns in marine life. The hexagonal tessellation of the turtle that is the most ideal shape in nature. The Fibonacci spiral of a snail. The Catenaries and parabolas show pointillism in a Joan Miro-inspired atom that represent life. The jellyfish is an influence by Ernst Haeckel with a Fibonacci twisted number sequence."

Talking about Vishwanath Anand, the 52-year-old was talking about some of India’s most talented young chess players in Dommaraju Gukesh and Arjun Erigaisi, who have had incredible success in 2022. Anand believes that both Arjun and Gukesh have been playing incredibly well consistently and hence would hopefully have successful careers.

Anand said, "I think it just shows that Arjun and Gukesh are very, very strong players who can compete well against whoever is sitting on the other side of the board. It is also nice that they play regularly against the best players because this is how you keep up."
