The second Test between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka has produced a hilarious blunder involving thr ee fielders, leading to a dropped catch at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram. After the thrilling T20I and ODI series, the Lankans clinched the first Test dominantly and then found themselves in a strong position in the second and final Test as well.
After a strong start by the Lankan top six, Kamindu Mendis continued his stellar form and put forth another big score as he batted with the tail. He stitched up a short partnership with Prabath Jayasuriya, who scored a 75-ball 28 before getting out against Shakib Al Hasan.

But before falling prey to the former Bangla captain, Jayasuriya found a thick outside edge against Khaled Ahmed which zoomed towards the slip cordon. The ball went to Najmul Shanto at 1st slip who dropped it. But as the ball rebounded away towards Shahadat Hossain Dipu at 2nd slip, who couldn't hang on it either. Then Zakir Hasan at 3rd slip also desperately tried for the third time as he made a dive forward but the catch was still dropped.

Earlier in the first inning, Bangladesh's captain was involved in a hilarious moment involving a blunderous DRS decision. Taijul Islam bowled a regulation delivery outside off stump, which Mendis stepped down to fend away.
Immediately after some discussion, Bangladesh captain Najmul Shanto went for a DRS call. Embarrassingly for the 25-year-old, the big screen showcased that Mendis had middle the ball and the blunderous review was overturned.
