The WWE live event in Salisbury, Maryland suffered a horrific blow as the six-time champion and WWE star Bayley sustained a legitimate knee injury. The American professional, who was fighting in a match between her, Charlotte Flair and WWE Women’s Champion Asuka, sustained this injury while she went for a clothesline.

The injury cut the match short as it is being reported that the WWE official called for an ‘X’ symbol while checking on her. However, the match was halted for a brief while meanwhile Bayley was assisted to the backstage, keeping fans thinking on the severity of the injury.

It is to be noted that Bayley has had knee issues in the past. The former SmackDown Women’s Champion suffered a torn ACL in July 2021 and did not make her return until July 2022. The Damage CTRL member however, later took to Twitter give the update of her injury. “I’ll be alright, thank everyone,” Bayley captioned the post with a picture of her knee wrapped.
Asuka retains her Fatal Four-way match title
The WWE Women’s champion Asuka defended her title as the match ended in disqualification after Asuka pushed Belair to the ringside.
