The Minnesota Timberwolves defeated Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's Oklahoma City Thunder 106-103 at the Target Center on Tuesday night in the 2023 NBA In-Season Tournament. However, the match was headlined by Wolves star guard Anthony Edwards' scary fall on the ground during a play that forced him to walk off to the locker room.
Despite Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander registering a game-high 32 points, the Wolves won the third of their four matches on the final day of In-Season Tournament group stages. While Edwards was forced to leave mid-game, the 22-year-old scored the team-high 21 points in 28 minutes with 3-off-6 from beyond the arc.
With 3.36 remaining in the third quarter, Anthony Edwards found an opening in the Thunder defense and rushed toward the basket, however, contact with Thunder forward Jaylin Williams forced him to fall awkwardly on the ground. Edwards stayed on the ground for some time as he walked off moments later following a hip injury.

The Timberwolves improved their regular season record to 13-4 and managed their top spot in the Western Conference standings. However, despite a 3-1 record in West Group C of the In-Season Tournament, the Wolves fell short of advancing as the Lakers, Kings, Suns, and the Pelicans qualify for the quarter-finals from West.
