New Arsenal-signing Kai Havertz and youngster Bukayo Saka expressed a strong desire to meet Real Madrid and Manchester United legend Cristiano Ronaldo. Arsenal are currently on a preseason tour in the US and the duo were having a light-hearted Q and A session with ESPN before their game against MLS all-stars.
Bukayo Saka said that the Portuguese legend was his idol growing up and used to copy his stance and celebrations. The winger referred to Ronaldo as ‘one of the best to ever play football’ and it's no surprise that the former Real Madrid star would be the one player he would like to meet.
Prior to the game, Saka asked which sports figure, past or present, Havertz would most want to meet. Havertz named Cristiano without hesitation, and Saka expressed his real wish to meet and chat with CR7. When asked the question Havertz said, “ I would say Cristiano.” to which Saka said, “ I would say the same.

Talking about the game, the German sensation who joined Arsenal from Chelsea this summer, scored his first goal for the Gunners as they demolished the MLS All Stars 5-0 in a friendly match in Washington. Havertz, who cost Arsenal £70 million, showed his class and quality with a stunning strike in the 34th minute, after a neat one-two with Bukayo Saka. The other goals came from Former City winger Gabriel Jesus, Leonard Trossard, Gabriel Martinelli, and Jorginho.
Coach Mikel Arteta also brought on Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber for their Arsenal debuts in the 65th minute. The MLS All-Stars, who were coached by Bob Bradley, were outclassed by Arsenal and could not create many chances.
