Australia scripted history as they defeated India to win the World Test Championship Final 2021-23 final with a massive 209-run margin. The winning moment for Australia came as Mohammed Siraj tried to reverse-sweep Nathan Lyon.
Unfortunately for the Indian pacer, Siraj managed to get a top edge as the ball floated up. Star Aussie bowler Scott Boland completed a simple catch as all Aussie players rushed towards Nathan Lyon and embraced each other celebrating this victory.

Talking about the Test match, Australia posted a massive 469 in the first innings thanks to centuries by Travis Head and Steven Smith. With the ball, the Aussies bundled out the Indians at 296 and then set a massive 444-run target in the second innings on the back of a 66-run knock by Alex Carey. Then in the fourth innings, the Aussies brought their a-game and packed up India at a score of 234, registering a stunning win.
Travis Head was named as the Player of the Match for his massive 163 and reacting to this award, Head talked about he focused on sticking to his game and batting freely. He said, "I've always had the confidence. It's about going out there and expressing that. It took me some time and everyone goes through that. I've always been open to change, open to learning. I've bedded down somewhat of a blueprint.
"It's not always going to work. It's nice to work that out in such a big game and hopefully continues in the next couple of months. Lot of what-ifs going to bed last night. We've come across such moments through the two years where we've had to grind it out. Were able to do that again today," he further added.
