Rohit Sharma-led Team India is taking on Bangladesh in their Champions Trophy 2025 opener at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai. With Men in Blue starting on a powerful note with Mohammed Shami and Harshit Rana picking a wicket each in their respective opening overs, they continued their momentum as the Indian bowlers dismissed half of the Bangladesh side back to the pavilion.
With Rohit Sharma introducing all-rounder Axar Patel into the attack in the ninth over, he got two in two, missing a hat-trick. While he came round the wicket to Tanzid Hasan on the first delivery, Axar dismissed Hasan on the very next ball of the over with KL Rahul catching it behind the wickets. He then dismissed Mushfiqur Rahim on a golden duck. However, what progressed further was something unbelievable.

On the fourth delivery, Axar Patel bowled marginally outside off which Jaker Ali pressed forward to block. As the ball got a thick outside edge, it went straight to the first slip where Rohit Sharma was stationed. However, the 37-year-old just missed it, putting the ball down, he was left fuming as he hit the turf thrice. Just moments later, Rohit quickly apologised to the Indian all-rounder as the bowler missed a hat-trick.
