During the third day’s play in the first Test between England and Sri Lanka at Old Trafford, Ben Stokes’ doppelganger was spotted on camera to the loud cheers of the fans in the stands. England’s Test captain Ben Stokes, who is ruled out of the ongoing three-match series due to an injury, gave a thumbs up to his doppelganger from the team’s dressing room in a hilarious moment.
Notably, the doppelganger of Ben Stokes got the spotlight for the first-time during the second Test match between England and West Indies last month in Nottingham. Just a month later, the doppelganger re-emerged on the scene, getting recognised by Ben Stokes himself on camera.
This led to the doppelganger pulling down his jacket and turning his back on camera to showcase his England Test jersey with “55 and Stokesy” inscribed on it. The moment led to huge cheers from the fans at the Old Trafford, while the commentators were quite impressed by the doppelganger as well.

Moreover, England are in control of the first Test match against Sri Lanka in Manchester after securing a 122-run first innings lead on day three. As of this writing, Sri Lanka are 182/5 in their second innings, leading England by just 60 runs with stumps on day three fast approaching.
If England manage to defeat Sri Lanka, then this will be their fourth straight Test win this summer after clean-sweeping West Indies 3-0.
