Brock Lesnar, the 10-time world champion in WWE, made his return on the latest episode of Raw, on the road to SummerSlam in Detroit. He immediately went after his arch-nemesis Cody Rhodes, who had just kick-off the show moments earlier at the CFG Bank Arena in Baltimore on July 3, Monday.
The rivalry between Lesnar and Rhodes began when the Beast Incarnate betrayed the American Nightmare by hitting an F5 on him at Raw after WrestleMania, after agreeing to team up with him to take on the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa in a tag-team match.

Since then, these two WWE superstars have competed against each other twice, at Backlash and Night of Champions PLE, with the scorecard reading 1-1. After losing their previous match a few weeks ago, Cody Rhodes had issued an open challenge to Brock Lesnar on the red brand, to fight him anyplace, anytime, to settle their score once and for all.
So, this past Monday night, Lesnar finally answered the call. Upon seeing him walk down the aisle, Rhodes immediately jumped out of the ring and both athletes engaged in a massive brawl.

Lesnar retreats after Rhodes hits him with a Cody Cutter on WWE Raw
Brock Lesnar and Cody Rhodes ended up brawling back inside the ring to the rocking reception of the WWE fans in Baltimore. When the Beast Incarnate tried to pick up the American Nightmare to hit an F-5, he slipped out and nailed him with a Cody Cutter instead. It made Lesnar retreat away from the ring to live to fight another day.
With the next WWE premier live event, SummerSlam, scheduled to be held at the Ford Field in Detroit on August 5, Saturday, is not far away, we can expect a rubber match between Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar to happen there.
