England continued their Euro 2024 Qualifiers form as they thrashed North Macedonia 7-0 at the Old Trafford on Monday night. Striker Harry Kane scored a brace while Bukayo Saka got his first career hat-trick. Marcus Rashford and Kalvin Philips were also on the score sheet as the Three Lions maintained their lead at the top of Group C.
While Kane opened the scoring in the 29th minute, Saka scored his first shortly afterwards in the 38th minute as the winger combined with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Kyle Walker to score from a narrow-angle. Rashford scored next as Kane latched on to a mistake at the back and passed it to Henderson who laid it off to Rashford. Saka hit his second with Alexander-Arnold’s beautiful ball over the top; hitting it beautifully in the top corner. The Arsenal winger completed his hat-trick in the 51st minute with an assist from Kane.

"This is a feeling I can't really put into words. I'm just so happy. It was a really special display we put out there. They couldn't really handle us," Saka said after claiming his maiden hat-trick.
Manager Gareth Southgate was pleased with his side’s performance as he said in the post-match conference, “The quality of the play was good and the finishing was ruthless. For the players to have the mentality they have to work, at the late stage of this monster of all seasons.”
This win puts England six points clear of second place Ukraine in Group C and will resume their Euro 2024 qualification conquest in September when they face Ukraine.
