Team India created history on Thursday after defeating South Africa for the first time in Cape Town in a Test match and levelled the two-match series 1-1. Mohammed Siraj was named the Player of the Match as India defeated South Africa by seven wickets in the second Test. During the post-match presentation, the Indian pace duo of Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj shared a hilarious moment as the POTM forgot his translator standing next to him.

Mohammed Siraj picked up seven wickets in the second Test against South Africa in Cape Town as he dismissed six batters in the first innings after giving just 15 runs. Siraj's magic spell helped the Rohit Sharma-led side to restrict the hosts to 55 runs in the first innings. Jasprit Bumrah, who won the joint Player of the Series award alongside Dean Elgar, stepped up in the second innings and picked up six wickets as the Proteas registered a 79-run target.
Siraj won the POTM award and arrived at the presentation with his translator Jasprit Bumrah, however, the 29-year-old pacer forgot his compatriot and responded in fluent English. This prompted Bumrah to hilariously remind Siraj why he was there and the RCB bowler responded in Hindi to the next three questions.

Siraj said at the presentation, "It’s my best figures in Test career. I tried to be consistent and hit the right areas. I wasn’t consistent in the previous match and that’s why we leaked a lot of runs. Worked hard on consistency and tried to be relentless with my lengths. When we play together, he (Bumrah) gets the message earlier. We try to analyse the wicket quicker. (Message to the fans) Thank you so much, keep supporting."
