In match 45 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, the Gujarat Titans (GT) are hosting the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Both the teams are coming off contrasting results in their previous fixtures. While the Faf du Plessis-led side ended their losing streak and won against the SunRisers Hyderabad, the GT lost to the Delhi Capitals by four runs.
As the two skippers took the field earlier in the match, it was RCB skipper who won the toss and invited the hosts to bat first. However, RCB drew the first blood in Wriddhiman Saha early in the inning, a skimmer from Cameron Green helped RCB get their second wicket, that too a prized one of Shubman Gill.
In the seventh over of the GT inning, Glenn Maxwell, who was introduced into the attack, bowled a tossed-up delivery. Gill, who looked in good nick, lofted in towards long on and Cameron Green, who was stationed at long-on, ran towards his left to complete a fine catch.

With it, Maxwell striked in his first over of the inning on his return. The Australian all-rounder was seen bringing in a loud roar after the crucial wicket of Gill. Players of the RCB also went up to Maxwell to celebrate the wicket.
Speaking of the match, at the end of seven overs, the GT scorecard read 47/2 with Shahrukh Khan (2) and Sai Sudharsan (19) in the middle.
