Irish veteran MMA fighter Conor McGregor is set to return to the UFC as the 35-year-old gears up for his comeback to the UFC 303 in June later this year. With his return just a few months away, the Notorious continued his rigor training sessions and practice in the same manner through which he became the undisputed legend of the UFC and MMA.
After three years of gap, McGregor will once again headline the UFC event as he will be up against the American MMA fighter Michael Chandler on June 29 in Las Vegas, Nevada in the UFC 303 International Fight Week. While the former UFC Featherweight possesses an exceptional fighting record of 22 wins and six losses, his opponent Chandler also has a splendid record of 23 wins to just eight losses.
The MMA legend posted a video on his social media where McGregor was seen gearing up for his return through meticulous training with exhibiting some movements using the prominent 1979 Hollywood blockbuster song “Eye of the Tiger.” He was seen giving a nod to the rhythm of Rocky Balboa, a mythical fictional character from the film “Rocky.”
McGregor kicks punching bag with leg that broke three years ago
During his rigorous training and practice sessions, the legendary boxer was also seen practicing and kicking the punching bag with his left leg, which broke three years ago during his fight with Dustin Poirier.
On July 10, 2021, McGregor ruled out from the fight after Dustin broke his left leg, leading to a loss by technical knockout. Since then, he is yet to make a headline in the UFC.
