There is no surprise that MS Dhoni is the cricket icon of India.People go to any lengths just to get a glimpse of ‘Thala’. Whether the CSK skipper is in Chennai or in any other city, the craze and love for him never ends. The same was seen on Thursday in Surat when Dhoni along with other CSK players arrived at stadium for practice.
In a video shared by a fan, a huge crowd can be seen on the side of the road as the CSK team bus arrives at the stadium. The crowd erupted in joy as they caught a glimpse of Dhoni as started chanting Dhoni.. Dhoni. Notably, the squad assembled in Surat to begin the preparations for the upcoming season.

Defending champions to start campaign against KKR
The IPL 2021 winner CSK will begin their title defence against the last year’s runners-up Kolkata Knight Riders on March 26. The franchise built a balanced squad for the upcoming season, with the combination of young and experienced players. The franchise, however, received a big blow as Deepak Chahar picked up an injury, which could force him out of the tournament. CSK also recently signed Ireland's Josh Little as their net bowler for the 2022 season.
