The President and CEO of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lashed out when asked about French MMA fighter Francis Ngannou during the press conference. The feud between the two has been going on for almost two years and White came up with new allegations against the newly crowned PFL Super Fights heavyweight champion. During the post-fight conference at UFC 308, a reporter revealed what Ngannou said for White during a PowerSlap event.
The reporter quoted Francis Ngannou’s words to Dana White which said, “He can’t handle this loss suffering to you. I’m sure he’s praying for my downfall. Which money is he talking about? Money that he owes me? They say we’re gonna give you back pay for the money we owe you from the Stipe and Ciryl Gane fights. All that they never paid me back.” White didn’t hold back after listening to these words and claimed that it was Ngnannou who actually owed him money.
I don’t think about Francis that much: Dana White
During the press conference, Dana White denied the fact that Francis Ngannou has to receive any money from the UFC. He also took a dig, stating that Ngannou is supposed to give them money for his disastrous performance against Derrick Lewis. The UFC CEO also claimed that PFL haven’t got profit after a contract with Ngannou either in ticket sales or pay-per-view.
“I lost? I didn’t lose anything, I was done with Francis – he actually owes me money because we had to watch that fight between him and the Black Beast. He should actually pay me back for that fight, and all of you.” Dana White said as quoted in Bloody Elbow.
“Me praying for [his downfall]? Trust me, I don’t think about Francis that much. You guys asked me the question about the PFL and I responded. Other than that, the only one who’s praying for his demise is probably the PFL because they signed a s****y contract with a guy who doesn’t deliver any numbers. That’s ticket sales or pay-per-views, and they’ve got to keep paying this guy for however long and good for him. Not good for them,” the UFC CEO added.
