The Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev registered a dominating win over Alexander Zverev during his Round of 16 match at the Monte Carlo Masters. The world number 4 ranked tennis star cruised past German opponent in three sets 3-6, 7-5, 7(9)-6(7) at the Court Rainier III on April 13 (Thursday).
During the three-hour contest at the Court Rainier III, bot Medvedev and Zverev struggled on serve. In the second set of the match, where both players stood at shared four breaks, Zverev finally got the best of his Russian opponent, but it wasn’t long before the latter took the serve back, taking the match into the decider.
However, the crowd did not seem in the Russian’s favour and was seeing booing. But in a typical manner, the world number 4 did not seem to have bothered this gesture and gave a fitting response in return. Medvedev gestured at the crowd with a ‘finger on your lips’ gesture as he tried to silence the spectators.
